The team at Chateau Belle-Vue deeply appreciates our valuable collaboration with a select group of motivated trade partners across the globe. Many languages are spoken at fantastic points of sale, but we all share a passion for fine wine and the desire to share the story of Belle-Vue with an enthusiastic, loyal and expanding fan base.
Our vineyards lace the mountainside in and around the village of Bhamdoun, facing west towards the Mediterranean Sea and the city of Beirut. An ideal dry climate paired with clay and limestone soil allow us to farm organically with low-intervention practices. Grapes are hand-harvested in 20 kg crates at the moment of optimal balance between potential alcohol and acidity, then fermented in stainless steel using only natural yeasts at our winery facility in the village. We craft three blends annually:
La Renaissance | Merlot/Cabernet Sauvignon Blend | Mount Lebanon
Our flagship blend, comprising 70% of our total production (1500 cases), La Renaissance (meaning “rebirth”) symbolizes the next generation of Bhamdoun’s viticultural heritage. The Merlot thrives on west-facing wide terraces at approximately 3500 feet of altitude. Preferring less afternoon sun, our Cabernet Sauvignon vines flourish at 3700-3900 feet, facing mainly northeast.
Le Chateau | Cabernet Franc/Syrah Blend | Mount Lebanon
Both Syrah (grown at 3100 feet) and Cabernet Franc (3700 feet) present as magnificent examples of their respective class. A luxurious blend of the two, with the addition of another hand-selected barrel of Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon, reaches only a select group of customers. With a total production of only 250 cases, our Le Chateau wines are available in select markets only.
Petit Geste | Sauvignon Blanc/Viognier Blend | Mount Lebanon
“Small gesture” seemed an appropriate moniker for our first harvest of only 350 bottles. We had no idea that the village bird population would develop such an obsession for perfectly-ripened Sauvignon Blanc! It’s been a race to plant enough to keep everyone happy. Now at an annual production of 200 cases, this fabulously fresh and fruity summer favorite is available in a few select markets.
